Our annual St. Patrick’s Day Community Parade took place on the 15th of March in Sheriff Street, Friends, families and passer-byes took part in an afternoon of fun and laughter to reel in the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day which fell on a Sunday this year.
While the Parade in Dublin City Centre on the 17th of March gets highlighted worldwide as an amazing event to view and enjoy. Sheriff Street’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade focuses on community, and many small local businesses helped organise.
We want to thank Mark Fay at the Happy Apple for getting us supplies for the parade and local schools St Laurence O Tooles National School and St Laurence O Tooles CBS marched with hand-made signs and floats. We would like to thank the Garda Store Street band for playing and giving us some music to march to.
Here are some of the other organizations that made our St. Patrick’s Day Parade possible. Dublin City Council, Asap After School Project, Sunflower Recycling Project, 5 lamps Arts Festival, Samuel Hotel, Swan Youth Services. All of your contributions every year help us massively in the running of this great afternoon event.
All and all St. Patrick’s Day Community Parade was an amazing event and We can’t wait for next year’s parade.
