The North Wall CDP marked International Women's Day with a lively afternoon event. International Women's Day is a globally recognized occasion celebrated annually on March 8th. To understand the origins of this celebration, one might delve into its history.
The first documented celebration occurred on February 28, 1909, in New York City. A few years later on March 19, 1911, the first International Women's Day garnered participation from over a million individuals in Austria-Hungary, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.

Evolving from a small local event to a widely acknowledged global celebration, International Women's Day has gained strength with each successive year.
